Welcome to Mountain Retreat Annagh-More

Do you want time to retreat in an old farmhouse in the mountainous countryside near Killarney? First of all, we gladly welcome you. The lovely location is rural and somewhat isolated, so it is ideal for a break, your holiday or a few relaxed days after an intense road trip. When you reach our farmhouse at the end of a cul the sac leading 1 mile off the N22, you are immediately struck by the abundance of nature as well as the wonderful views and tranquil atmosphere. Owners Jan and Karen Tetteroo have completely refurbished the old farmhouse that had been abandoned for over a decade. The gorgeous springwater flows to the taps from a well on the land. Wind-powered electricity and carbon-neutral heating make sure the house is now an example of ecologic living with all modern comfort included. The farmhouse is ready now to host a small number of guests.

Ecology

The water comes from the ancient well and is tested to be suitable for drinking and showering. Therefore will heal you and invigorate your skin. After use the water will be cleaned and returned to the river where it was supposed to flow from the well originally. The farmhouse uses less then 1% of the total flow of the well. We will light the solid fuel burner in the living room/kitchen because it gives heating and warm water. Electricity is supplied by the Kilgarvan windfarm nearby.
