Farmhouse Kitchen

The heart of the house is the farmhouse kitchen with the original fireplace.

Jan or Karen welcome you here every morning for your breakfast. We use homegrown and local products and eggs from our chickens.

We created seats where you can enjoy beautiful nature from indoors. We have lots of wild birds around the house and some deer.

We invite you to sit around a warm and cosy fireplace in autumn and winter.

Nothing is cosier and more relaxing than sitting by the fireplace. Listen to the crackling of the fire, gaze into the blazing flames, and enjoy the soothing warmth.

Staying with nature on your doorstep

The patio is the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening sundowners with magnificent views of the mountains whilst listening to the sounds of the countryside. Go for a walk early morning or before sunset and encounter wildlife like deer, hares, squirrels, pheasants, badgers and foxes.

When we saw this place for the first time, we knew that we could be living our dream here.  Part of the dream was to be self-sufficient, so we started a smallholding with animals, growing organic food in the garden and polytunnel.

Annagh More is part of the Unesco Biosphere Reserve area in the Kerry Mountains. We create more biodiversity habitats and plant trees, shrubs and wildflowers yearly. Walking on and around the site, you will discover ancient woodland with the most native Irish trees and hedges.

Staying with us means that you contribute to our mission to take care of and protect this unique Irish landscape.
